Immersion Abroad is the parent company that manages various study abroad related websites. Immersion Abroad manages the development of the sites, the advertising and listing on these sites and the marketing to consumers of these sites. We also handle all end-user payments and advertising Payments.

Currently, there are 6-10 websites that are planned to be re-launched in the 1st quarter 2009. Immersion Abroad is part of a larger study abroad organization that has many years of developing, marketing and managing study abroad related websites. Although the website ImmersionAbroad.com has been in existence for 10 years, it has been under new management since January 1, 2009.

• AbroadBloggers.comFull Length Movies is a blog dedicated to all aspects of studying, learning, working, and traveling abroad.
• CostaRica-Spanish-Schools.com is a directory of Spanish schools in Costa Rica.
• Study-Abroad-Ebook.com is a website, which sells eBooks, eReports, and printed books about studying, learning, working, and traveling abroad.
• AllStudyAbroad.com, is our first website. This is a study abroad directory website that, in our opinion, is better than most of the existing websites currently listing study abroad programs. We believe this because of the following:

End-User Improvements

• People/students searching for websites have a much simpler time finding what they are looking for. Instead of having many sub-categories of various program types in an effort to get more listing organizations. We offer 4 broad programs: Academic Programs; Language Programs; Volunteer & Intern Programs; and High School Programs.
• My Ideas section – allows the user to save a list of interesting programs. These are saved for 6 months so the user can return and research over a period of days, weeks or months. The user can send a bulk email to groups of these programs rather than having to send individual emails to each program provider. In addition, the list of my ideas can be printed or sent to a friend in a printer-friendly version that lists only the programs selected in My Ideas and contains the relevant contact information.
• Program provider websites are listed with direct links to the website so the user can quickly get to a program provider's website.
• Search features that allow the user to quickly limit listings by program type, language, country, city or curriculum and/or sort by the same.
• Overview page that lists all other programs offered by the provider.
• Over the coming months a "sister website" will be launched that accumulates evaluations from past study abroad participants. This planned website will give programs and organizations a popularity rank while allowing past participants to rank aspects of the program and leave a comment. Certain aspects of that site will be integrated into allstudyabroad.com so that the user can see which programs are the most popular and which are receiving the best rankings.

Study Abroad Listing & Advertising Improvements

• We offer a number of options to increase traffic to your site.
• Direct text links to your website, pass page rank to your website and improve your search engine ranking. Most sites use a java or cgi script to track links to your site and thus no page rank gets passed to your site. Remember, these are one way links.
• You have the option to use deep links to your programs and main links to your organization. By using something like "Spanish School in Costa Rica" and a deep link, you pass page rank from a topically relevant site to your website using keywords relevant to that deep website page. Many Search Engine specialists, recommend deep links like this to super-charge your rankings in the search engines.
• We offer display URLs and the actual url link so you can easily add tracking codes to your actual url links.
• You can increase your listing effectiveness by making a Program listing or your Organization featured. Programs get featured on individual COUNTRY or LANGUAGE pages while Organizations can be featured: Site wide, on the All Language page, the All Country page and the All Program Type page.
• Listings are free, and we offer a very low unlimited listing option for organizations that have many options which includes discounted rates on feature listings.
• Paid listings are displayed above free listings.
• The organization overview page also passes page rank to your site.
• As we launch sister websites to allstudyabroad.com targeting specific languages taught or countries, if your program listing is active, you will automatically be listed on those sites as well.
• A planned feature will allow organizations to list specials at no charge for their program listings. Our specials page will be able to sort and limit by city, country, language and program type and only list specials that are currently active. If you know, you will be listing specials for people who book a program in Oct-Dec, you can enter that and it will appear on our specials page from Oct-Dec. You can even make this recurring so all links.
• We offer the ability to submit articles about your program, organization or study abroad related topics. You will receive 1 article for every program listing and 10 articles for every unlimited listing. We may do this on the site and/or on a "sister blog". Again, this is one of the better ways to increase search engine rankings.
